Grey Leaf Spot

Identifying markers:

• Leaves develop small bleached spots with brown edges.  These spots turn fuzzy grey when they are wet.
• Small irregular patches grow to form large areas of damage.
• High temperatures and high rainfall encourage the development of this fungi.
• Over watering, over fertilizing and shaded areas contribute to the spread of the disease.
• Grey leaf spot affects perennial rye grass and tall fescues.
