Dollar Spot
Identifying markers:
- Starts off as small spots of bleached looking turf, can increase up to 6 inches in diameter.
- Grass blades have yellow spots that look water soaked, if you look at it in the morning you will see cobweb-like growth.
- Mild to warm temperatures, excess moisture, poor soil nutrient levels and thick thatch are ideal conditions for this disease.
- It typically occurs in the following grass species - fescues, perennial rye grass and bent grasses.
